Snježana Kordić - Biography

Snježana Kordić is independent scholar with current focus on sociolinguistic issues in South Slavic countries. As a researcher, lecturer and author she has also been active in the fields of Slavic syntax, text linguistics, corpus linguistics, quantitative linguistics, pragmatics, lexicology and grammar. She has taught and conducted research at a number of Croatian and German universities (Zagreb, Osijek, Berlin, Münster, Bochum, Frankfurt). Her publications include several books and 150 articles, notably Kordić, S. Lengua y Nacionalismo (Madrid: Euphonía Ediciones, 2014), Kordić, S. Der Relativsatz im Serbokroatischen (Munich: Lincom Europa, 3rd pub. 2005) and Kordić, S. Wörter im Grenzbereich von Lexikon und Grammatik im Serbokroatischen (Munich: Lincom Europa, 2001). She is presently engaged in popularising the theory of pluricentric languages in the Balkans through media appearances.
