Igor Čatić - Biography

Igor Catic worked at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture since 1965. until retirement in 2006 as full prof. He was till 2001. Head of Chair for Polymer Processing. Since 1995. he is teaching Intruduction into Technology. He was teaching Polymer processing also at the universities of Ljubljana, Mostar, Osijek and Split, as well at the High School in Karlovac. He is the only one winner of International Education Award outside of USA and Canada. For his total contribution to the science, education and other fields he was awarded by Croatian national scientific award Nikola Tesla (1977), Propagation of science (1999), Award of town Zagreb (2001), and Award for Technical culture Faust Vrančić for his life contribution (2005). He is also very active scientifically in philosophy and language. He is founding member of Society of Plastics and Rubber Engineers and international editor of journal POLIMERI.
